Coffee Break
Coffee Break is the Alzheimer Society's major nationwide annual fundraiser where friends, co-workers and customers gather in communities across Canada to raise funds for local Alzheimer Societies. Participants at these events make a donation in exchange for a cup of coffee.
National Alzheimer’s Coffee Break – September 2011
Coffee Break Launch Event ("Q & Brew")
September 14, 2011
11am-2pm at One London Place
You can make a difference in the lives of half a million Canadians living with Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia by hosting an Alzheimer Coffee Break™ event during the month of September.
Hosting a Coffee Break is an easy way to make an impact on the lives of both the individuals with the disease and their caregivers. You can hold a break in your office, at home, at your community centre, or anywhere you can set up a stand and serve some coffee.
Other ideas for Coffee Break 2011 would be:
- Get your company’s Social Committee involved by asking them to bake some “goodies” for bake sales, host a birthday party or BBQ.
- Hold a Casual Day as well as or instead of a Coffee Break.
- Your company or group can also support this event by selling our “Make a Donation – Sign a Cup” cutouts for a loonie! They can be signed by the donor and then displayed at your place of business.
We’ll supply you with everything you need to make your event a success!!!!
