Bequests
A bequest is a specified dollar amount or a percentage of an estate that is described in the donor's will.
Life Insurance
By naming the Society as the beneficiary of a life insurance policy you can give a substantial gift without a substantial cost. Income tax receipts are issued for the premiums paid each year. Proceeds are paid directly to the Society and donors leverage their premium payments into a larger legacy.
Gifts of Securities
Canada Revenue Agency guidelines make it beneficial to donate publicly listed securities to avoid capital gains taxation.
Gifts of Annuities, Charitable Remainder Trusts and Registered Assets are also accepted.
