To our clients (persons with dementia and caregivers), family members, stakeholders and friends of the Alzheimer Society London and Middlesex.

Throughout our organization's history we have been proud to offer our specialized services and social recreation programs to the community at no cost. However, due to the continued (and predicted to be sustained) growth of our client base the Alzheimer Society London and Middlesex has made the difficult decision to introduce a fee structure  for some of these programs and services. This fee structure will be effective April 1, 2016.

The past two years has seen our active client base increase by 50%, while the funding received from the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care (MOHLTC) has remained static. Over the past number of years and in order to maintain our high level of service provision, it has been necessary for the Society to fundraise 70% of our operating budget. To meet the growing needs of the London and Middlesex dementia population this existing funding model is not feasible or sustainable .

No one will be turned away from any of our programs and services due to the inability to pay however. Our Community Fund is available for those in financial need.

Also be aware that due to partial funding we receive from the MOHLTC, we are still able to offer at no charge, our First Link Learning Series, our various support groups, the Volunteer Companion program and our one-to-one social work support.

Note: Those who are already registered in programs that finish in April 2016 will not be charged.
