Ways to give to the Alzheimer Foundation London and Middlesex:
Building Memories Campaign
Building Memories is a Major Gift Campaign that aims to raise $1 million by 2015 for ASLM's programs, services and research.
Hope for the Future Fund
The Hope for the Future Fund has been established as an endowed fund for the Alzheimer Society London and Middlesex. Income generated by the fund goes towards research, education and support programs. Money directed to this fund can be in memory of someone, with the assurance that it will continue to provide funding for ASLM programs and services on an ongoing basis. This means that the memorial for your loved one becomes a lasting, permanent legacy.
Major Gifts
Major Gifts include gifts from individuals and foundations of $1,000 or more. A major gift can be pledged in installments over a period of up to ten years.
Legacy Gifts
Planning your estate can ensure that your retirement needs are met, and that loved ones will be adequately provided for. In addition, your gift will continue providing for others for years to come. A planned gift can provide methods of reducing the cost of estate taxes and probate.
Planned Gifts
- Bequests: A bequest is a specified dollar amount or a percentage of an estate that is described in the donor's will.
- Life Insurance Policies: This is a way to give a substantial gift without a substantial cost to you by naming the Foundation as the beneficiary of a life insurance policy. Income tax receipts are issued for the premiums paid each year. Proceeds are paid directly to the Foundation and are not subject to probabe fees or legal costs. Existing policies may also be assigned to the Foundation.
- Gifts of Securities: Listed securities are considered immediate gifts and include stocks, bonds, bills, mutual funds, warrants and futures that are traded on approved stock exchanges in Canada and certain other countries. New taxation rules make it very beneficial to donate publicly listed securities to avoid capital gains taxation.
